TENS Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation By Vikram Sharma at CDE Orofacial Pain Research

TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) delivers tiny, safe, electrical signals through conductive pads to stimulate the nerves under the skin.
TENS machines are thought to affect the way pain signals are sent to the brain. Pain signals reach the brain via nerves and the spinal cord. If pain signals can be blocked then the brain will receive fewer signals from the source of the pain. We may then feel less pain.
TENS machines are thought to work in two ways.
When the machine is set on a high pulse rate (90-130 Hz) it triggers the 'pain gate' to close. This is thought to block a pain nerve pathway to the brain. This is the normal method of use.
When the machine is set on a low pulse rate (2-5 Hz) it stimulates the body to make its own pain easing chemicals called endorphins. These act a bit like morphine to block pain signals.
Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) helps relieve all types of pain except most deep internal pain and pain arising from the mass in cancer.

  2. Jaipur also very popular as the Pink City, is the capital of the state Rajasthan. Jaipur was the capital of the princely state of Jaipur During the British rule. From last few years Jaipur has become a developed centre for education. There are few good Engineering Colleges in jaipur, Rajasthan. There are also some old and good Medical Colleges in Jaipur city.
